Verkostungsnotizen
Robert Parker 92
There is very fine ripeness on the nose: wild bramble bushes, a touch of iodine and hint of wild heather that cropped up two or three times in this Leroy dinner. The palate has good weight with redcurrant, dried orange peel, a touch of nectarine, firm tannins…this is quite assertive for a 2000, a good level of ripeness although for me, not as harmonious or succinct as the ensuing vintage. Nice structure, but the flesh does not quite hang on the bones as well as I would like. Drink now-2015. Tasted November 2009.
Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015
