Verkostungsnotizen
Vinous 87-89
(64% merlot, 30% cabernet sauvignon and 6% cabernet franc) Good medium ruby to the rim. Pure, enticing aromas of sweet, ripe black raspberry, licorice and bitter chocolate. Supple, fruit-driven and easygoing, with juicy acidity giving a firm edge to the dark raspberry flavor. Not especially long but suave and tasty.

Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 2007 Bordeaux tasting. The 2007 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion feels a little smudged on the nose, one that is missing the breeding and complexity of the first four Pessac-Leognan wines in this flight. The palate is medium-bodied, a little chewy in the mouth with dusky black fruit but missing length on the finish. It feels a bit like a car running on three pistons. Tasted March 2015.
Anticipated maturity: 2015-2023
