Vinous 95+
Liger-Belair’s 2011 Echezeaux is breathtaking. Red and black stone fruits are intermingled with spice, new leather and violets in a striking, totally seamless wine endowed with tons of nuance. Vibrant and delineated to the core, the Echezeaux is simply magnificent.

Robert Parker 91+
Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Chateau de Vosne. The 2011 Echezeaux Grand Cru has ripe red berries mixed with freshly tilled soil and woodland aromas that are attractive but do not quite have the precision of the 2008 or 2011. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of rawness and hardness on the entry that just upsets the balance compared to other vintages. Hints of cedar and saline notes form the finish that feels just a tad curmudgeonly at present, so afford this several years in bottle. Tasted June 2015.
Anticipated maturity: 2021-2045
