Verkostungsnotizen
Vinous 91-93
Bright, light lemon-yellow. Discreet, precise aromas of lemon zest and metallic minerality lifted by a floral topnote. Offers lovely inner-mouth tension thanks to racy lemony acidity but also shows a rather exotic banana note today. Still, this strict, backward wine is less harmonious at present than the premier crus at this address, finishing with a firm edge of crushed rock and lemon. A more serious style, showing captivating saline extract without any heaviness.

"The 2016 Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot wasn’t frosted, and it’s one of the highlights of the range chez Raveneau this year, wafting from the glass with a lovely bouquet of white flowers, Meyer lemon, honeycomb and crisp pear. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with a deep core, juicy acids and a long, beautifully delineated finish. It’s a superb Blanchot that will develop gracefully for two decades or more."
