The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras 1er Cru has an open-knit bouquet with brambly red fruit, crushed stone and rose petals. Delicate at first, there is plenty of fruit and more terroir expression than the Les Cras from Ghislaine-Barthod. The palate is very well balanced and graceful with slightly chalky tannins. Impressive tension and mineralite in this Chambolle with insistent grip on the finish. This is finely crafted and should age with style. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
