The NV Brut Blanc de Noir shows a clear, fresh, bright and aromatic bouquet with aromas of ripe cherries and yellow apples. Disgorged in February, the sparkling wine shows enormous freshness and clarity, and it’s slender and elegant but also juicy on the palate. This was still restless when tasted in March but very fresh and straight, with slightly too dominant phenolic grip. 12.5% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in Flasch. This edition is based 70% on the 2020 vintage, completed with 30% reserve wines from 2019-2014. The base wine of the young vintage is aged in stainless steel (60%) and used barriques (40%), while the reserve matures entirely in 14- to 15-year-old barriques. The sparkling wine was bottled in mid-June 2021 and disgorged in early December 2023; it was dosed with one gram per liter.
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2030
